Water purification filter system for Badulla Hospital

UHE Group, the parent company to world-renowned brands Halpé Tea, 98 Acres Resort and Spa in Ella, Flying Ravana and the Secret Hotel Chain, initiated yet another CSR project by donating a water purification filter system to the Badulla provincial General hospital.                 

The purpose of installing the water Purification System is to provide clean drinking water to the 3rd Biggest Base hospital in Sri Lanka. It is estimated that more than 4000 patients visit Badulla Hospital daily and on a typical clinic day that number considered to go up to 5000. This system purifies tap water into consistently ultrapure water, ready for use.

The purification plant was handed over to the hospital management by Mr Inthikab Alam, Group General Manager UHE Group in the presence of the hospital staff and doctors.

As a responsible corporate citizen, UHE Group has made CSR a key part of its business ethics with CSR policies revolving around social projects attuned towards society’s needs. Over the years, the UHE Group has spearheaded several projects and intends to pursue more initiatives in the future CSR projects.
